1990年就读原湖北医科大学免疫学专业研究生，1993年获免疫学专业硕士学位。毕业后一直从事于医学免疫学的教学和结核免疫的科研工作。以第一作者及通讯作者的身份共发表有关结核杆菌研究的文章12篇；主编、参编著作8部；获教学优秀奖两项；科研成果奖两项。
